A pallet truck is a useful tool to several industries, especially the ones where loading and unloading of heavy pallets has to be taken care of. There are several design types invented to cater to the different needs of different industries and different load bearing capacities. Here are some of the most commonly used types of designs -:
Electric Counterbalanced Pallet Trucks – These are of course run with the help of electricity and can lift heavy loads of up to 50 tons. These have a front wheel steer and a latest technology based narrow aisle to be able to easily load & unload weight off narrow aisle racking of offload trailers.
Hand Pallet Trucks – These are run by manual human labour and do not require any kind of electric power and are considered best for small jobs with less of load lifting & moving requirements such as small shops and home based businesses.
Combustion Engine Powered Pallet Trucks – As the name suggests, this type of pump trucks is for extremely heavy loading and unloading such as on docks for ship containers. These have an engine to provide extra power with internal combustion and run on fuel such as diesel, kerosene, propane, butane or even few others as well.
